Musicalligraphy: Lecture, workshop and performance
Renowned Iranian artist Bahman Panahi brings his artistic concept at the points where calligraphy and music intersect to Khawla Art Gallery.
Bahman will give a talk on how he uses music and harmony to help create his calligraphy: synchronising the hand and the ear; finding harmony between listening and gesture.
He’ll give a live demonstration, creating a large-format piece in front of an audience. They’ll also be a workshop where you’ll have the opportunity to learn his innovative techniques, using rhythm and movement to create your own calligraphic art work.
